Coffs Harbour is a small town with a whole lot to offer. There are opportunities in Coffs Harbour to skydive, surf, kayak, mountain bike, scuba dive, white water raft, and hike in the nearby National Parks. For the less energetic, the area offers walks, many championship level golf courses, swimming, boating, and markets on the Jetty every Sunday.
Coffs Harbour is located on the Tasman Sea, with the railway line heading North to Coffs Harbour having some of the best views of the ocean. The railway has been a very important part of the tourism industry in Coffs Harbour since it was first opened in 1923.
Banana’s are another very important part of the history of this area and are commemorated through the Big Banana located near Diggers Beach on the north side of town.
Park Beach, accessed by Ocean Parade, is the location for much of Coffs’ holiday accommodation. Coffs Harbour has a wide variety of accommodation levels ranging from 5-star to a number of Caravan Parks. Shopping is catered for by Park Beach Plaza.
Little Mutton Bird Island is located just off the coast opposite the exit point of Coffs Harbour Creek.
