Albion Information

Follow Sandgate Road northbound for a variety of international cuisine in Albion itself, Clayfield and Toombul, where there is a large shopping centre for your convenience. There are many great hotels and motels in the area giving you quick access to the city while being in the comfort of the suburbs.

The Inner City Bypass has made it even faster for vehicles to access the Brisbane CBD. Stay on the Bypass to the eastern end and exit onto Kingsford Smith Drive, a wonderful river drive with many businesses, hotels and restaurants lining the Brisbane River. At the other end of the Bypass, Hale Street is home to Suncorp Stadium, where all the local rugby league games are played.

Stroll through the grounds of the historic Newstead House on the Brisbane River, the oldest surviving home in Brisbane. Take a basketball to Crosby Park on Fox Street. Spend a day at the horse races at nearby Doomben or Eagle Farm where the home of racing is in Queensland. For a great night’s entertainment, spend some time at Albion Park Paceway for some trotting or greyhound racing. Albion is a great place to live or visit!
