Ascot Information

The suburb is known for its leafy Moreton Bay Figs trees and stunning colonial architecture only minutes from the Brisbane CBD.

After a long day working or sightseeing, enjoy one of the famous steaks at the nearby Breakfast Creek Hotel, situated right on the river, or dine in style at one of the fabulous restaurants in Racecourse Road, Ascot. Ascot is known for its cafe culture as well as being one of the main restaurant precincts in Brisbane. Afterwards, take the City Cat ferry into the city for some great night time fun.

For shopaholics, spend some time at the Ascot Shopping Precinct or come to Bonney Place at Clayfield for some sparkling café time. You will discover many exclusive boutiques in Ascot – with fashion unavailable in other suburbs of Brisbane.

For a leisurely day, full of excitement, spend some time at either Doomben or the neighbouring Eagle Farm Racecourse. Enjoy the fashions, cheer on your favourite horse and enter the spirit of winning.

Take a day cruise out into Moreton Bay or the penal colony on St Helena Island for a ghostly adventure. Regular cruises leave from Brett’s Wharf, right on the Brisbane River, a short walk from the heart of Ascot.

Ascot is close to the Brisbane International Airport and is easily accessed from car, bus or train.
