Clontarf Information
Recreation is a big part of the quiet lifestyle of Clontarf. The suburb boasts two Caravan parks, and the popular CRJ Dahl boat ramp which enables small boats to quickly access Moreton Bay.
Clontarf is the closest suburb to the Hornibrook Highway on the Peninsula. Many local residents spend much of their recreation hours on the old Hornibrook Highway Bridge, which is located alongside the new highway bridge. Many of the locals either walk, cycle or fish off the bridge.
The Redcliffe Peninsula is known for the picturesque parks, fantastic playgrounds all with amazing views. Pelican Park, located to the east of the Hornibrook Highway, hosts a kite fest every May (as well as daily feedings of the local pelican population by the local fish shop). The two-day event is known worldwide for its many beautiful and colourful kites.
