The light industrial suburb of Eagle Farm is nestled around the Brisbane River. It is one of the oldest suburbs of Brisbane, and was the site for the first airport in Brisbane in 1912. Eagle Farm Information

Today Eagle Farm is dominated by Eagle Farm Racecourse, the Royal Queensland Golf Course and the Eagle Farm TAFE.

The main access to Eagle Farm is via Kingsford- Smith Drive, which enables easy access via road to the Brisbane CBD, and the Gateway motorway. There is also light rail access, with Queensland rail operating regular passenger trains.

Eagle Farm is the access way to Pinkenba, and Bulwer Island, as well as the alternate access to the new Brisbane Airport. It is situated across the river from Murarrie and Hemmant which are also light commercial areas accessible via the Gateway Bridge.

The residential suburbs of Balmoral, Morningside and Bulimba are just across the river and quality suburb of Ascot boarders Eagle Farm.
