Fortitude Valley Information

In the early 1990’s the area underwent a major revamp, and with the formation of the Valley Mall a busy dining scene developed. The Chinatown Mall located in the next street, is linked through many of the newer buildings forming a unique partnership of cultures.

The high altitude aerial photo of Fortitude Valley clearly shows the relationship that Fortitude Valley has to the Brisbane CBD, Kangaroo Point via the Storey Bridge, and the Brisbane River. It is not far from The Valley to the Brisbane Cricket Ground in Woolloongabba. Located on Kangaroo Point, and accessible from the Bradfield Highway, James Warner Park and Captain Burke Park are beautiful picnic spots to admire the city and Fortitude Valley from a different perspective.

The Valley is very accessible through public transport with trains and buses regularly stopping at Brunswick Street Train Station.
