The older weatherboard homes are frequently renovated, bringing all the contemporary conveniences of the 21st century to modern living. This well established suburb has a great sense of community with local cafes and restaurants in which to meet your friends and relax. You can shop locally at Junction Road or Thynne Street or visit nearby Cannon Hill K-Mart or the massive Carindale Shopping Centre for more variety.
Children are well cared for with numerous private and public schools, child care centres and kindergartens. The children really enjoy a visit to the Octopus Gardens at the nearby Colmslie Beach Reserve.
Morningside has wonderful access to Brisbane’s great public transport. A short car ride to Oxford Street will bring you to the Bulimba Ferry where you can take a leisurely ferry to the city. Take in a movie on the way home at Bulimba or Balmoral. The Brisbane Airport is just a short car trip across the Gateway Motorway.
For the horse enthusiast, a visit to the Brisbane Polo Grounds is a must. Morningside is close to so much that Brisbane has to offer!
