Woolloongabba is home to the famous Brisbane Cricket Ground known as the Gabba. The Gabba has been the centre of many a hard fought international test cricket match as well as the home of the Brisbane Lions AFL club (outside of cricket season).
Woolloongabba is also a hub of commercial and residential development, with old Queenslander style homes jostling high-rise developments. Nearby Kangaroo Point is the main apartment corridor for Brisbane, with many stunning high-rises near the gently flowing Brisbane River.
