Edge Hill Information
The Captain Cook Highway runs between Edge Hill and Cairns Bay, providing access to Cairns International Airport, the Barron River and all points North.
Edge Hill has a high proportion of residential development, with a significant number of flats and units. Edge Hill is situated at the midway point between the Cairns Base Hospital and the University. The Cairns PCYC is also located in Edge Hill.
Shopping and dining can be found at the Central Commercial Village, while Collins Avenue has been set aside as an environmental and cultural precinct for Cairns. Centenary Lakes is located close by as is the Tanks and Flecker Botanical Gardens.
