Broadwater Information
Teach your children to fish in these calm waters. Anglers love to catch the fish of the day and many take a charter to deeper waters out from Moreton Island where snapper and trevally are readily available. There is a safe passage through the Gold Coast Seaway at the end of The Spit. The Southport Yacht Club is in the marina in these safe waters.
Your teenagers and the more adventurous will have a ball wind surfing, kite surfing, water skiing and jet skiing. With the surf available locally at Main Beach, there is always something for the whole family to do. There are a number of parks along the promenade which is an ideal way to see more of this fabulous area.
If time permits, spend some quality time with the family discovering the local theme parks. Right on The Spit is Sea World, where you can swim with the dolphins or feed some fish. Take your swimmers for some great water rides. Movie World, Dream World and Wet and Wild are a short drive to the north along the M1.
Here at the Broadwater, there are a number of attractive golf courses, fine dining with an international flavour and some wonderful accommodation to suit all budgets and tastes. Travel the Gold Coast Highway to swim at some of the most famous beaches in Australia.
