Flaxton Information
Aerial photos show Flaxton nestled in amongst the small towns of North Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, and the popular Lake Baroon. Overlooking the beautiful Triunia National Park the spectacular views are of rainforest and out to the ocean over the Sunshine Coast City of Maroochydore. Flaxton is located near to Kondallilla National Park which has some of the most spectacular, and steep walking trails in the area.
Flaxton is one of the best kept secrets of this area of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. However if you know someone who raves about the Devonshire Teas they had up near Maleny, it was probably had at Flaxton! The area is a burgeoning wine growing area, and Flaxton has one of its own - the Flaxton Grove Winery.
