Kawana Island Information
Kawana is a great place for a lazy holiday, swimming, surfing and venturing further afield to places such as the wonderful Mooloolah River National Park where you can hike through wallum heath, tea-tree swamps and open woodlands. Fish in the Mooloolah River, visit Underwater World or catch a few waves at Mooloolaba which is renowned as the best surfing beach closest to Brisbane.
Go for a drive along Oceanic Drive to view the wonderful Neisler Park with its easy-access facilities. This beachfront park opens directly onto the beach at several spots for your enjoyment.
A short stroll to the north will bring you to Point Cartwright where you can see the multi coloured hang gliders launch from the cliffs. Take a day trip to Australia Zoo or visit the Super Bee, Forest Glen Wildlife Sanctuary or the Ettamogah Pub. There is a wealth of attractions on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast when you have finished lazing on the fabulous beaches.
