Montville Information
While browsing the galleries, take a look at the restored buildings signposted throughout the village. Choose from leatherwork, delightful cuckoo clocks, woodwork and unique handmade fashions to remind you of your time spent in Montville. Drive to other small villages such as Flaxton and Mapleton for other unique stores.
After shopping, take a quiet walk in Kondalilla National Park. Enjoy a swim in the wonderful rock pool and have a picnic on the banks of the creek. There is a great walk which starts at Baroon Pocket Dam and covers some of the natural spectacular scenery of the region. You may take a longer hike, even staying overnight to obtain the real benefit of the solitude.
Take a drive along the escarpment for fantastic views over the Sunshine Coast, with its numerous golden beaches. The Glasshouse Mountains are spectacular as each one rises up from the flat countryside to tower over pineapple and other farms.
There are many award winning restaurants to dine in after your long day and then return to your clean, comfortable accommodation, many of which are self contained cottages or B&B’s. Sleep in luxury and wake refreshed, ready to keep exploring this wonderful region.
