Noosa Heads Information

Noosa Heads is home to the world famous Hastings Street – world class shopping, stunning restaurants and five-star resorts all can be found in Noosa Heads. You can eat at a different restaurant every night for a month and still not have made your way through all of the eateries Noosa Heads has on offer.

Tourism is the cornerstone of the town’s economy. Over 250,000 holidaymakers visit Noosa Heads each year. People are drawn to this vibrant suburb to enjoy the beautiful scenery offered by the blue waters and lush landscape, combined with exclusive culture and brilliant surf.

Noosa is displayed at its shining best with these wonderful aerial photographs of the area. These clear blue skies, azure waters and lush growth are available all year round, with the average winter temperature being in the low 20C.

You can enjoy a walk in Noosa National Park through open woodlands and sub tropical forest. The park now protects such areas as the Fairy Pools, Hell’s Gates, Alexandria Ban and the Devils Kitchen from urban development. Access is via Park Road or by walking along the ocean boardwalk found at the end of Hastings Street, where many international shopping boutiques are situated. The park is home to the wallum froglet, koalas, black cockatoos and ground parrots.

Noosa Heads is to the south of the river mouth where you will find safe beaches at Little Cove and Munna Point. There are also many coves to enjoy a quiet spot on the beach such as Lion Rock and Picnic Cove.

Noosa is the hub of exclusive shopping, fine dining and culture for the Sunshine Coast and hosts many cultural events throughout the year.
