The deep blue water of Coolum is a striking contrast to the basically untouched Yaroomba beach located south of Point Arkwright.
Even those who have only witnessed Yaroomba beach through an online photo gallery understand the appeal of this region. The beach is fairly secluded and comfortable for visitors to enjoy. The crystal clear blue water is ideal for any number of activities.
Among the most popular things to do in Point Arkwright is snorkelling and diving especially during the winter. The sea is calm during this season. However, swimming is not recommended.
Point Arkwright also serves as a great place for sight seeing. Some say that they can see Point Cartwright to the south on a very clear day. Also captured in aerial pictures of Yaroomba is Mount Coolum, and isolated volcanic dome.
